Lisa Bates

Lisa BatesLisa was promoted to Program Officer in August 2014.  She has served as the Foundation's Administrative Assistant since November 2005.  She is responsible for all aspects of the Foundation’s grantmaking and scholarship award functions, and distributions from agency-supporting funds.  Functioning as the principal staff liaison to volunteers, agencies and organizations in the community, donor advised fund principals, and the general public concerning scholarships and grantmaking.  And will help develop new initiatives consistent with the Foundation’s mission and identified community needs and opportunities, and play a lead role in coordinating and implementing Foundation-initiated community programs.

Prior to her service with the Foundation, Lisa worked for the Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County.  In her nine years at the EDC, she held several positions with the organization from administrative assistant to executive assistant. 

She has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech Community College and graduated from the Institute for Create Leadership program.

Lisa has two sons, Zach and Ben, and 4 teenage step-children.  She and her husband, Mark, live in Dublin.
