Wernle Children's Home

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat. We must find each other. -- Mother Theresa

Wernle Children's HomeA series of workshops and hands-on learning opportunities resulted in more than just a video Wernle Children’s Home could use to tell the public about their facilities and the changes they are helping young people make.;

The experience helped the young men, most from broken homes and troubled backgrounds, learn to succeed.; The process helped them develop pride in their work and themselves, taught them self-reliance and the importance of being reliable and set them on a course to be life-long learners.

By getting involved in the project, the young men not only learned about operating a camera and shooting footage, they also learned about a career.; During the taping, the students discussed the importance of continuing their education and learned what it takes to have a career - in broadcasting or other areas of business.;

But perhaps most importantly, they learned they can be successful.
