Congratulations, Maria and Elle!
The Foundation is delighted to announce Wayne County’s Lilly Endowment Community Scholars for 2016.
Maria Stiens and Elle Hellwarth, of Seton Catholic High School and Hagerstown High School respectively, were chosen from a pool of 66 applicants from throughout the county. Each will receive a four-year, full tuition scholarship and $900 annual stipend for required books and equipment.

When Gil Klose gives, he gives quietly never asking for attention or public praise but his giving did not go unnoticed by his children Kevin, Christopher and Megan. As years passed and birthday and Christmas gifts became harder to buy, his children decided to honor their father's decades of generous giving by establishing the Gilbert Klose Endowment Fund at the Foundation. |
